About us

iHSAN International Waqf Labuan Foundation is committed to
revitalizie the Islamic endowment system (waqf) to address
current global issues such as poverty, healthcare, education and
environmental sustainability.
Registered under the Labuan Islamic Foundation Act 2016 (Form
8) (Reg No: LAF00649-(l)), the Foundation aims to modernize the
waqf model through digitalization while remaining to be align with
Maqasid al-Sharia - principles of Islamic law that promote justice,
welfare, and equilibrium. Through this initiative, we strive to
create a lasting and sustainable social impact on a global scale.

The Ihsan International Waqf Labuan Foundation (IIWF) is dedicated to modernize the Waqf system to address contemporary challenges through five essential pillars: Shariah-Centric Governance, Asset Optimization, Transparency, Sustainable Development, and Digital Innovation.
Guided by AAOIFI governance standard 13 and with embedded robust KYC and AML policies, IIWF incorporates digital innovations to boost operational efficiency in managing waqf assets. This initiative aims to enhance transparency, governance, and predictive analytics within Islamic philanthropy and Waqf management.
The foundation prioritizes social, economic, and environmental development in alignment with Islamic values and sustainability objectives, targeting issues such as poverty, education, and healthcare.

The Foundation’s approach is rooted in the principles of Maqasid al-Shariah, safeguarding the following five key areas:
1. Protection of Wealth (Hifz al-Mal):

- Guarantee the freedom to practice Islam.

3. Protection of Intellect (Hifz al-‘Aql):

protection from harm.
5. Protection of Progeny (Hifz al-Nasl):

Global socio-economic inequality continues to rise, leaving millions without access to essential services such as healthcare, education, adequate housing, and public infrastructure. While conventional philanthropy has its merits, it often lacks the long-term sustainability required for enduring change. The waqf system, by its very nature, creates perpetual assets that generate continuous social benefits, providing a robust and sustainable solution to bridge this gap.

Ihsan International Waqf Foundation (L) Joins 7th Fernandez Challenge Cup as Co- ponsor for Team SJI85
Kuala Lumpur, 13 September 2025 – The much-anticipated 7th Fernandez Challenge Cup (FCC) will be held on Saturday, 13 September 2025, at TNB ILSAS, UNITEN- angi. Organized by the Johannian Sports & Recreation Club (JSC), this annual sporting event continues to uphold its tradition of fostering camaraderie, sportsmanship, and unity among alumni of St. John’s Institution (SJI), Kuala Lumpur.
This year, the Ihsan International Waqf Foundation (L) (IIWF) proudly participates as a co-sponsor for Team SJI85, further strengthening the spirit of brotherhood and community support that lies at the heart of the competition.
“The Fernandez Challenge Cup represents more than just a sporting contest. It embodies heritage, teamwork, and the values of contribution to society. At IIWF, we are honored to support Team SJI85 and be part of this meaningful tradition. The FCC, now in its 7th edition, has grown into a major alumni event, attractingparticipants and supporters from across the nation. This year’s tournament is also supported by official sponsors Mamam Place Cendol Durian and Carabao Energy Drink, with venue support from TNB ILSAS.
As the countdown begins, anticipation builds for a day filled with competitive spirit, fellowship, and celebration of the Johannian legacy.
